Heavenly Lake Tahoe

Heavenly is located right on the California and Nevada border in South Lake Tahoe. It is know for its excellent snow conditions and it's vast amount of trails. There size of Heavenly means that even on a crowded day you feel like you have the mountain to yourself.

One of the most spectacular things about Heavenly is not the snow, it is the view. It is worth the Gondola ride up even if you don't ski or snowboard just to get a glimpse of the view from Lake Tahoe that far up the mountain. Words cannot describe how breathtaking it is so you'll just have to go and see it for yourself. There is a stop on the gondola to get out and just take in the view (and perhaps a cup of coffee). The natural beauty of Lake Tahoe will overwhelm you.

Another great thing about Heavenly is that it is really a convenient place to ski or snowboard, especially if you are staying in South Lake Tahoe. The gondola base is right at Stateline well within walking distance to most hotels in the area. A local shuttle will pick up visitors a little father away. Heavenly is a great mountain to ride. If you are visiting Lake Tahoe, you should definitely check it out!
